How Do I Meet People?

Resurrection United Methodist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman/woman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Resurrection.

Small Groups

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than are larger groups. For that reason, Resurrection UMC has a Sunday morning (9:30-10:30) adult study group and a Wednesday evening (6:30 – 8:00) Bible study and prayer group.
Sunday morning studies are varied and may include a DVD-driven discussion group, book studies, or topical studies.
Our Wednesday evening group centers around in-depth study of books of the Bible and includes a time for concentrated prayer.

Children’s Ministry

During the Sunday morning worship service, children participate in their own class, where Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction.

Women’s Group: UFOs (UnFinished Objects)

On Wednesday mornings, some of our women meet in the church Gathering Space for fellowship and conversation as they work on craft projects together.

Men’s Prayer and Support Group

Our men meet at 8:30 on Saturday mornings for biscuits and gravy, prayer, devotions, and discussion at a member’s home.

Steppin’ Out

Periodically, activities at local restaurants, theaters, and sports venues are planned for the entire congregation as we share meals and entertainment.
